I'm not sure what that PP was looking at. Certainly not for a hotel or condo. Maybe for a big house for multiple families, but not for a family of 3.

Yes, gateway grand, south beach or Belmont towers will be this much for oceanfront.

Paying $2k per person to go to OC is dumb. And I like it there.

Why is it dumb? When I vacation I don’t want to stay in a dirty, run down place. I want it to be as nice or nicer than my house.

Then you wouldn’t be going to OC.

I do go to Oc. There are thousands of ocean front places and lots of restaurants where my kids can play at a playground while I eat peeled shrimp and have a drink while sitting by the water with a potted palm tree over my head. Not bad for 3 hours away.
please name the restaurant that has a playground?

I cannot imagine a wedding in OC, but I agree. It takes an hour from Rehoboth to OC without traffic.

Bethany for that age. It's smaller, nice beach, etc.. more family oriented. Quieter at night.

The beach in Bethany is nonexistent at high tide.

Ocean City is such a rachet dump. Cops tasering a kid for just vaping on the boardwalk.

What a bunch of stupid idiots on that police force. Maryland is such a trash jurisdiction.

I think Ocean City is the most fun with the most to do, the beach is nice and wide too. We like being able to walk directly onto the beach from our hotel room.

I’ve got news for you… there’s not much difference between cops in OCMD and cops in Dewey or Rehoboth. Plenty of stories of cops abusing their power in Dewey. The local areas near the beaches are all the same (rural and very Trumpy) thus the cops are too.

With young kids we will hit the rides when they open. Closer to sun going down ocean city becomes Santa Clara and dangerous.

Yes but he warned if Lord of the Flies, Children of the Corn, Damien and Chucky joined forces and had a love child that love child wouldn’t stand a chance against the children at Dead Freddie’s or Fish Tails...and to a lesser extent Ropewalk.

The kids that run amok completely unsupervised are 100 % savage! Especially Dead Freddie’s that giant sandbox is full of bad seeds. My PSA of the day is that the more genteel DCUMrs and their offering give that place a huge pass!

Nobody was tazed for vaping in OC. On June 6th, LEOs asked guy on boardwalk to stop vaping (smoking/vaping prohibited on boards but there are designated smoking areas and can walk half a block down and smoke). No penalty for vaping if stop when asked. If refuse, get fine/ticketed. Guy pushed officer, then when officer went back guy got aggressive, said he was going to kill officer. Then reached to get something out of backpack and officers tazed him - guy did have knife in backpack. Video going around shows guy reaching into backpack when tazed. LEOs did exactly as they should to protect themselves and others - don’t know if guy had mental issues or what yet.

This is wrong. Bethany had Beach replenishment in the spring and the beach is very wide. Bethany for kids is definitely the best - playground in the center of town, put putt golf, indoor arcade, boardwalk, the size of town is manageable with lots of candy stores/toy stores kids like, plus tons of family restaurants. Sea Colony (the buildings on the ocean) is perfect for a small family because it is walking distance to lots of things and has a pool as well.
