Yes. I got an oceanfront place there this summer. $6,000. We go almost every year. It’s always this much for a nice place.

If fun for kids was what I was looking for, I would go to Ocean City. Lewes is great for adults, but it isn't so great for kids. Rehoboth has a water park and Funland. Also there is a gocart place.As an adult, I like it a lot. But, it's nothing comparable to Ocean City. Bethany is much quieter and has some new mini golf and ice cream places in Ocean View. Plus it's not far from Rehoboth so you can go to Jungle Jims and Funland. Fenwick is too quiet. There is a gokart place and it's close to OC. But, Ocean City has everything that kids love. Tons of cheap shops on the boardwalk where they can get tshirts and jewelry. Games, amusement parks, minigolf, etc. etc.

As an adult, I would definitely choose Rehoboth or Lewes.

Some people think OC is trashy and low rent but we love it and many of its benefits have already been explained.

Bethany or rehoboth. You can easily drive to OCMD to do an afternoon or evening at the boardwalk 1-2 days if you want. We tried ocmd this summer and wouldn’t go back. It wasn’t terrible but it’s got these long streets where people drive loud cars and motorcycles so it didn’t feel entirely great walking around with little kids. Also the place we booked looked much nicer online than it was.

Yes. I got an oceanfront place there this summer. $6,000. We go almost every year. It’s always this much for a nice place.

We almost rented a nice large house in OC for $1000+ per night. It was brand new, could sleep ~14 people and on the bay. It would be way nicer than a $300/night 2 bedroom condo. There was a premium for being a peak summer week.

We ended up booking a house in the outer banks for the same price.

Why is it dumb? When I vacation I don’t want to stay in a dirty, run down place. I want it to be as nice or nicer than my house.

I do go to Oc. There are thousands of ocean front places and lots of restaurants where my kids can play at a playground while I eat peeled shrimp and have a drink while sitting by the water with a potted palm tree over my head. Not bad for 3 hours away.

Where is the Wedding? I would stay wherever the Weddinh is being held to be honest. I am a huge Rehoboth fan and hate OC but if that where the Wedding events are going to be that’s where I would stay. Especially in the summer when the route 1 traffic is awful.
