They wouldn't have had to google him if we had a National Police Force Database that lists on-force shootings/killings, infractions, and each officer's employment history.

That goes to the nitty gritty specifics of who should be in the database, because while he was under investigation nothing specific had been uncovered at that point and he hadn’t been arrested/indicted and certainly not convicted of anything. I ABSOLUTELY support a database of bad cops but this just shows you how it can be tricky setting it up. And FFS, google people before you hire them. I mean, come on.

NP: So maybe your personal experiences don’t reflect the range of what’s out there. The FBI has been assessing white supremacy and law enforcement for quite some time.
