May 1st date only pertains to players at other ECNL clubs otherwise it is open season. Like I said earlier, 3 girls from SYC will move over and maybe an additional defender from the Orange team. Regardless, it will make the 08s much better. Two of the SYC players are very strong players.

Only 3 girls seems like wishful thinking. Hard to believe SYC hasn't negotiated more spots than that. Yes I am implying these aren't real ID Sessions. I am guessing Orange is their second team - not buying a player from their second team can make an ECNL team

Why would SYC want to negotiate to move more of their top players away from their top team? Losing 3-4 players for ability to market ECNL dream I can understand.

There is no way a player on orange makes an ecnl team. If you've seen them play you know what I mean.

How is 2008 Arlington doing? Is Mo planning on bringing new girls for ECNL?

I don’t have a DD daughter on the SYC orange team but I do have knowledge that they definitely have 2-3 girls that could make the McLean ecnl team.

Don’t love how they play as a team, but there are a couple of players that they should grab

He wasn't fired. He came over when EM took over as TD from LMVSC.

Correct and his team followed him. No one was fired.

+1

Coaches didn't get fired, they quit.

Over 100 players followed their coaches. They ended up at SYC.

SYC players got moved down and LMVSC players took over top teams.

So last year they moved from LMVSC to SYC, this year they are moving from SYC to McLean, next year they will move from McLean to ....?

So true! How is this benefiting kids. Sucks to buy a new uniform every year.

So true, LMVSC families followed their coaches but the "love" is dying out. Not sure what the TD and Coaches are thinking anymore... it is exhausting!

To answer the McLean parent’s legit question...The vast majority of the 19-20 season SYC Blue (top team) players were original SYC Players. They left SYC in 2 waves under the *former* SYC administration (which is now at lmvsc). Once TD EM and their coach left lmvsc and came to SYC, these original SYC players (plus about 4 original lmvsc) moved back to SYC. While it was made out to be a big deal by some parents, it really wasn’t as it just restored and brought back the original top SYC players who left in 2 waves. The 19-20 SYC 08G Blue team beat McLean’s top team in the finals of McLean tournament and most of the girls are the same on SYC side. So it’s a strong group. And this alliance will be a win-win for both sides.

How? When Herndon has a alliance with Metro now?

I am calling BS on this post. There was no SYC girls team in 2021 McLean Premier Cup in the 08 or 07 age groups. McLean's top 08 girls team played up a year in the 07 age group and lost in the semifinals. Mclean pre-ECNL 09 team played up in 08 age group and lost in the semifinals. Maryland United 08 ECNL won the top bracket in the 08 age group. McLean Green 08 played in the second bracket in the 08 age group and won it. SYC did not play in these age groups.

Old OMVSC 08 team beat Mclean 08 team 2 years ago
