kids & skin color

This isn't an issue for us yet, but I think it's fine to talk with your kid about how people come in all colors/flavors, as long as you don't attach judgmental descriptions to those colors, or say some colors are better than others. Isn't that how stereotypes and racism can develop?

I'm a medium-dark-skinned SE Asian, and when I was a kid I was told my cousins (who were very fair-skinned, almost Caucasian-fair) were pretty and I wasn't.
