University of Alabama

There are also some great scholarships at Alabama for top minority scholars, including National Hispanic Scholars. The Academic Elite Scholarship looks generous, but is awarded to only 7 students per year. https://scholarships.ua.edu/freshman/elite/

According to their website, their highest merit scholarship is $28k which almost covers tuition for OOS but not room and board of course.

It’s not that good of an offer, even for our donut hole family with savings only for in state

I mean c'mon people, are you so bored you are actually looking at U of A scholarships in order to throw shade? It is the Bama poster that is constantly trolling and getting bites every time, so amusing.

That pretty pathetic. Very cheap expenditure for college is a good thing for sure. I just wouldn’t be bragging about a mediocre education.

It was rigged! So happy that fat pantyload is gone. Makes me laugh whenever I see him.

This.

+1 they could pay me and I still wouldn’t send my child there.

She’s afraid her snowflake will become a Republican because she did not teach them to think independently.

Always amuses my that the ones that purport to be to most progressive and tolerant are actually the most regressive and intolerant.

So a bunch of a-holes gang up on someone who wouldn’t send their kid to Alabama and somehow they are intolerant? Perhaps they just do not think it’s a good school? Perhaps they are not all about football and flouting COVID rules. Does not make them intolerant just means that’s not the right fit for them.

It's an athletic powerhouse with enough enthusiastic alumni spread across the country that networking should never be problem. I can't count the number of A flags and license plate holders I've seen around DC. Graduating college with no debt and the ability to move anywhere and meet someone who will understand ROLL TIDE...priceless. Way more bang for the buck than some tiny liberal arts college no one but the most elitist has ever heard of. This is a smart move. Congratulations!

Hit a nerve? I’m sure “You couldn’t pay me to send my child there” was meant in only the nicest “just not a good fit” kinda way. And I’m sure those describing it as a “mediocre” education have done extensive research into the depth and quality of the programs offered by the university.

Talk about people who can dish it out, but not take it.
