Consultant for swimming/scholarships

Are swimmers short? I had a friend in college who was a swimmer, and he was pretty tall. Not only was he tall, but he was also smart, even though he received a sports scholarship. So it seems to me that this is a myth. It all depends on genetics. But swimming helps you get bigger and taller, it's true. And in general, if your parents are low, then no sport will help you. Unfortunately, you will not go against genetics. At least play basketball or Volleyball. I hope you guys understand what you're saying. Oh, I wish I could get a scholarship to college. I envy such people.

While there are exceptions, generally no. Elite swimmers tend to be tall, not short. But not every girl who swims Division 1 is going to be 6 feet. I can think of several divisions I women from our club that are 5foot 6 to 5 foot 9. One is closer to 5’ foot 3. Torri Huske (Olympic hopeful from Arlington is 5 foot 8).
