Do you believe in curses?

If only Sam and Dean could drop by my house and “exorcise” me.

OP, read the book “The Demon Haunted World” by Carl Sagan. Witches only exist in fairytales. Grow up.

Why in tarnation would you respond to somebody telling you about her "witch" powers with Jesus talk and follow up with a Christmas card?? Maybe in her world, she thinks you were a serious evangelical or preachy and she is avoiding.

Would you want her friendship anyway?

Just work on finding 1 buddy who is normal, go from there. And pray to God that all witchcraft, all evil plans, against you are bound and broken in Jesus's name.

I'm a highly intuitive person and I've always been wary of her and we've circled around the topic in the past. Last summer she invited me over to have drinks in her backyard and we had a heart-to-heart where she revealed the extent of her "power" and, I suspect, she tried to gage where I stood. I told her I believe in God and Jesus Christ and ground myself in that love. I haven't heard or seen her since.

I was rattled by the encounter for a week and then put her out of my mind and have gone out of my way to keep her name out of my thoughts and mind. I sent her an X-mas card heard nothing in return. I used to see her all the time and now I never see her. She's a very popular neighborhood mom and school volunteer - a role she's been cultivating for years. In the last few months I've noticed that mutual friends ignore me. People I've been friendly with socially have not included me and my kids in small things. It's almost as if I don't exist and now I wonder what's up. I understand COVID, but this feels different. Not sinister, but like I'm not welcome.

I've been reading the Old Testament and there are so many instances of the idea that a certain kind of evil and curses are out there. Now I wonder if she could have put a curse on me. Nothing too dark, but a curse. Is this possible or am I overreacting?

I’m Catholic. I don’t believe that anyone could actually put a curse on someone else that would be harmful except by the person believing it could harm them. Kinda like the opposite of the placebo effect. That said, I’ve worked with self-identified witches and found them no different as a group from anyone else. Some are nice. Some are not. I would not send a witch or a Jew or a Muslim a Christmas card as they do not celebrate.

What are the odds of two people this nutty being neighbors?

Who sends a witch a Christmas card?? Lol

Maybe the other moms didn’t like you before and you just didn’t notice it until your encounter with the neighbor.

Maybe the other neighborhood moms are witches too!

I knew two women. One had a witch grandma. The other one didn’t know that, but was very religious, very Christian.

The women were due to give birth around the same time. The witch one had a name picked out and the other woman didn’t. They were in the same circles and spoke briefly. They were both excited about having baby girls, the witch woman shared the name she had picked out.

The Christian woman gave birth a week or so sooner.
She named her DD exactly the name that the witch woman picked. Both, first and middle names.

The witch woman didn’t say anything or act out in any way, but the other woman has a very bad year. And she’s still having bad luck. Her relationship with DH deteriorated, her jobs didn’t work out, she had health problems, her DS dropped out of college, etc.

So yeah, I kind of believe in curse.

Sounds more like you believe in fabricating stories. You are supposing that the "Witch woman" had a curse placed on the Christian, but you really don't know at all.

This is basically my life story, and I don't believe I've offended any witches. Unfortunately, none of these problems is unusual enough to suggest witchcraft. Not even all of them together.

I love this thread… and am
Not a witch. But then again, isn’t that what a witch would say?!!
