No you didn't. 2021 Yukon is a new body style and even the 2WD base models with cloth seats are $50k+ |
Nobody actually pays MSRP for any fully kitted high-margin SUV. Yukons are solid for -$10,000 under MSRP. I love them. Nobody does large SUVs better than General Motors.

| sold* for -$10,000 under MSRP |
Lol. Those enormous SUVs are apparently not intended for adults to ride in the back. So cramped. So ironic given how much space appears to be in the vehicle. |
|
These GM SUVs provide a lot of vehicle for the price. If you need to tow a big boat or camper but need more seats than a crew cab pickup, it and the Ford Expedition are your only options.
These run forever and keep their value. So it's not as expensive as you think they are. The 2021 Tahoe and Yukons also have a lot more leg room in the 3rd row with the redesign. |
| I'd rather drive a Porsche |
Even that angle, it looks ugly and they shot was taken to make it look as attractive as possible. Those massive SUV's are just big ugly station wagons. |
As I said, they're just the modern jacked up station wagon. Real SUV's are put on truck frames so men's egos aren't hurt.

They must've done extensive market research to price point these giant SUVs. They know there are a subset of people - mostly men - who will never, ever, EVER buy a minivan. But they absolutely need the seat and storage capacity because of the sheer number of spawn they need to transport.
Therefore, the car companies have figured out the maximum price point where these buyers will endure the most pain to avoid the minivan. And let's say they add a buffer on the MSRP so the dealer can knock $5K-10K off so he's convinced he's "getting a deal." What do large families in Europe do? I never see minivans or large SUVs over there. |
A lot of people I know who have these here have them because they need to tow a boat, a camper, a horse trailer, etc. Minivans are limited to what they can tow. Europeans don't tow all of this stuff. |

My wife has a 2012 GMC Denali. She loves it has it since new.
Back story is 5 foot two inch Toyota Camry and Japanese car lover. Back in 2005 we had a two and a three year old and thinking of a third one. She did not want a station wagon or minivan. GM at time was having employee pricing and she got a super loaded GMC Envoy XL. She did not trust American cars so we got a 7 year warranty. She loved that truck. It got totaled in 2012 in Hurricane Sandy and was shocked she insisted on another full size three row GMC truck People like then and they are expensive. But GM often gives 7 year interest free loans and folks keep them 10-15 years. Go online and shocking how many for sake with 200,000 miles |

The surburban is another vehicle in a class all by itself
You can get a bench front seat so you can seat nine passengers and still out luggage in. My rich boss had one. She had four kids and carpooled. She often have nine in the vehicle |
People buy SUV's on a truck frame to haul things. This is true. Most people that get an SUV never actually haul anything except two kids. |
