Want to send birth announcements but I certainly do not want or expect gifts

Instead of sending announcements, send some other kind of card: Thinking of You, or whatever the next holiday might be, or something neutral. Enclose the pictures. I’m an Old. To many of us, sending an “announcement “ suggests gifts.
