Frustrated w Starbucks app and charge to decrease pumps of sugar

I’d complain to Starbucks via email. Their whole business is about complicated and customized drinks! And I agree that their standard recipes can be sickly sweet.

DP, but I just find that word to sound weird.

Well, if they move to charging more to put less sweetness in, I will just go back to plain coffee. The overly sweet drinks are disgusting.

It's funny that people think this inane correction is such a gotcha. (It really only makes you look silly.)

Pumps = sugar. Whenever I see people ordering the gigantic drinks with 4, 5, and 6+ pumps I'm so grossed out.

Their tiny 8oz of drip coffee is now about $3 now! Such a rip off. And the caliber of their baristas is in the toilet. Looks like they just hire a bunch of ex cons with all kinds of tattoos and poor personal hygiene.

Today I noticed that there is now a 50-cent charge to adjust the sugar. Last week there wasn’t. I called a Starbucks and the barista said there wouldn’t be a charge if I ordered in person. Has anyone seen this? I’m not adding an ingredient. I’m just decreasing the number of pumps.

np The only thing I can think of is your order isn't standard and therefore takes more time to do. I don't order from Starbucks but, that is the first thing that popped into my mind. Maybe get a smaller size and therefore it will automatically have less sugar?

I noticed my regular grande iced coffee went up to over $4 now! I was stunned. McDonald’s has iced coffee for $1 but it’s always a struggle to order it with none of the liquid sugar.

I know. What on Earth is a pump of sugar?

The flavored syrups. Decreasing the pumps of caramel or mocha or whatever your flavor of choice is, is a great way to cut sweetness and calories. Our family enjoys Starbucks as a treat. By using nonfat milk, one pump of syrup instead of the normal three or four, and eliminating whipped cream it’s a much more reasonable treat and not as much of a sugar bomb.

This is just as bad as the original post.

The baristas used to be cute hipsters, now they’re dirty people and wackos. The whole vibe feels more and more like a McDonald’s than any sort of “premium” experience.
