Behind Her Eyes?

I thought he did and that is why he was miserable and kept feeding her antipsychotics in an attempt to fix her?

This is what I didn't get. Did David know that it was Rob's psyche, living inside of Adele's body? I couldn't understand his motivation for not just running away from her/him if that was the case.

He didn’t know, but she said she would tell authorities he murdered Rob. Remember his watch is in the well with the body. He was also originally a suspect in the fire, but she covered for him.

That guy makes the funniest faces when he’s shagging

+1. I finished it last night and am mad at DCUM. I did not appreciate that hard left turn into weird/stupid right at the end.

It was totally depressing and ripped off the ending of many other movies.

I wish I had never seen it. It was haunting but not original.

It’s a book

I just watched it and loved it. I don’t get why David called at the same time twice a day? I feel like if there was a season 2 Adam figures it out and Rob/Louise ends up killing him. At the end he thought it was odd about going on a boat because she hates boats.

There was some lazy story telling or bad editing. A lack of character development to really get into the phone calls, and why he had taken away the phone to begin with. Maybe if I went back and watched it again while knowing the twist things would make more sense, but I thought there were a lot of loose ends. Entertaining enough to get me through 2 nights, but not very good.

Wow the ending was just awful. Could they just avoid the psyche bullshit and it would have been ok

Really annoyed I watched this whole thing. My dh and I heard a npr reviewer go on and on and on about how amazing the show is. We don’t normally listen to show reviews on npr but we were on a long drive and it came in as part of fresh air. Ugh never again!

Enjoyable though, esp the last two episodes. They never tied up what happened after the girlfriend wrote the cop about the murder.

Why did Adele spit out the food she was eating (dinner)?

Why did Adele run around and get the black eye? Was she trying to get heroin? Was she trying to get beat up to make David look bad?

Funny you say that! The plot seems like a total rip-off of one of my favorite Lois Duncan books -- Stranger With My Face -- from the 80s.

Yes!! I was just telling DH the same thing! I remember trying to astrally project after reading that book as a kid.

+1!!! I did not remember the book name or author but I advised DH when I got an inkling that was going on- that I couldn't believe it was the plot of an 80s book I read as a kid!

DH is a drag with movies- he didn't watch it with me but saw parts- as soon as I told him it was astral projection, he said 'it's him and he's going to switch'... ugh, thanks.

That's what I think of every time David opens his mouth. I enjoyed this show despite his voice being very distracting to me.

Ha! That is so true! His voice was completely annoying and distracting.

Yeah, that was the big twist in the book. I definitely did not love it, though it certainly has shock value.

I am confused. Why was Adele in rehab to begin with? Had she been a drug addict prior to her parents dying in the fire? The newspaper referred to her as a “troubled child.”

Secondly, once Rob took over Adele’s body, why did “Adele” act so different - cool, aloof, ladylike, etc. Rob’s personality was nothing like that. He was fun, irreverent, sassy. None of that came through in “Adele’s” body.

I think that even though Louise wrote the letter implicating David in Rob’s murder, it was not paid attention to by the police because “Adele” wrote a letter admitting that she had killed Rob and that David had nothing to do with it. At least, I guess. It was not a very well thought out story.

Not sure why she spit out the food. I was thinking maybe she had been trying to poison David, but then he didn’t eat, so she had to spit it out? None of that made sense.
