She was pregnant near the end, but they didn’t make her character pregnant, so it just looked like she gained a lot of weight, then she was missing for a bit.

In the last season, they did separate (Carrie had been on a list for an apartment in the city and she wanted to move there, but Doug didn't), but then got back together in the end when they got a call that there was a baby available for adoption in China. Carrie also finds out that she's pregnant.

I didn't like the storyline of them breaking up and then getting back together in those last few episodes.

Yeah that was a little too real for me for this lighthearted comedy, though I admit I didn't watch all the time so maybe I missed the series taking a turn. These two always seemed like a good match to me, I didn't want them to split up!

Agree. You’re the king of queens, it gets awkward when it’s too real/emotional.

I always liked the chemistry between Gary Valentine (who I believe is actually related to Kevin James) and Spence.

I like Holly the dogwalker too, she was only on one season.

And there’s this weird episode with a pre-mustache Nick Offerman—who remembers that one?

Gary Valentine is Kevin James’ brother. Holly the dog walker was on 6 seasons.

Leah was pressured constantly by Scientology to convert Kevin, but she never did or tried. He is a devout Catholic and let her know he wasn't into the hocus pocus stuff.

I have a lot more respect for Leah now that she is doing so much to help people in cults.
