I like it too, OP. Also feel the same way about a few other tv series. The light comedy helps a lot. Dharma and Greg I never watched but I love them. And the golden girls!! I’ve started looking for throwback shows on purpose.
Tried to introduce my 2nd grader to ghostwriter and he was not amused.

| It's one of the shows that makes me laugh out loud. Even though I've seen it a million times and know what's going to happen! Sometimes I laugh in anticipation of what's about to happen lol |
| I have a cousin from NJ who reminds me so much of the character.Absolutely realistic portrayal. |

I also never watched this when it was on. Once I discovered it, it became my favorite comedy show. I used to watch a few episodes before bed and now I watch a few episodes during the day while I’m working. Don’t remember the channel but i stream it on YouTube. I have so many favorite episodes. I laugh out loud every time, no matter how many times I’ve seen a particular episode.
Remember when Arthur wanted to give deacon reperations? Or when Arthur overhears Doug call him a demented old circus monkey. The episode when the neighbors get a pool! Remeber when they went to that bed and breakfast and Carrie snuck out to the hotel and Doug didn’t make it and had to stay behind? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love this show so much! |
| Remeber when Holly moves in and she becomes his downstairs wife and Carrie is the upstairs wife? 🤣 |

Two episodes I love:
1. Spence has a gf who is a chef and Doug can’t get enough of her cooking—Carrie accuses him of having a food affair 2. There’s this woman from a different country (I forget where, somewhere in Eastern Europe) and Spence and Gary are both trying to get her attention by dressing up in her native garb and singing songs from her country, etc. one day she shows up with her real bf (a total weird looking geek) and she introduces them to him by saying they are a gay couple, lol! I also love howCarrie is always trying to rub elbows with rich “high class” types but Doug (and her THICK accent) are always cramping her style. |
| Really underrated, funny show. |
| I like the episode where Carrie tells Doug who she would sleep with and she names a famous actor. Carrie asks Doug his pick and he said her manicurist. |
| a classic is the one where the neighbors hear them fighting. |
| One peccadillo...Doug and Carrie are much, much more Long Island than Queens. Just sayin’! |
|
I love the episode where Deacon and Kelly commission a painting of Doug and Carrie as a gift and then insist on hanging it in their living room. Except, Carrie's hand is enormous and looks like a man's hand.

I was amused with Lou Ferrigno playing himself as their neighbor.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the term “work wife” cam from an episode on this show. I liked the one where Carrie realizes she’s “that person” who tries to sell her personal business items to her friends. |
Love this show! That episode was hilarious! |
Appletini’s. Lol! Now THAT is so queens... |
| Just remembering the mentions are making me laugh aloud. |
