Ivy Spring Season Cancelled

In the 35 years that I have worked in High tech sales, I have worked with only two Ivy educated peers. Both were fired for lack of performance.

A large proportion of the people that have been successful played team sports in high school and/or college.

Book smart is not life smart.

So then how do you reconcile Ivy League people who played team sports? D1 team sports.

Guessing the NESCACs will make it official soon too?

Ivy League was correct last spring and, as always, they were too impressed with themselves.

Ivy League is failing miserably with this decision. And the inability to make a timely decision screwed a number of their athletes for no good reason.

Combined with all of the woke nonsense that dominates everything about an Ivy education now, and this may be their jump the shark moment.

+1000. Latest Ivy League press release stating that they’ll consider local competition now “if circumstances allow.” Typical Ivy League BS. What they really mean is “We now realize how stupid our decision was to cancel spring sports and we hate it when we look stupid.”

So don’t send your kid there. Problem solved.

Former Ivy athlete here. I don't understand the rationale of the Ivy presidents at this point but it's a done deal. Wonder if this will make some HS athletes look to other leagues for their college careers. Given what i saw among my teammates, that may not be such a bad thing for the Ivies. This may be part of the motivation of the presidents.
