How to surprise my husband with a new car?

The titling issue is not a big deal. You can always add him to the title. Insurance is a phone call, and you don’t need the other party’s signature.

I’m planning to do the same thing in the next couple years.

+1. I wish my DH would do this for me for Mother’s Day or my milestone birthday later in the year. He knows what I would like down to the interior and exterior colors. We have the money so the surprise and thoughtfulness of making it happen with no effort on my part would mean a lot.

For my 40th the wife and kids cooked me a nice meal. everyone had a great time and I don't have any regrets. I love sports cars but having a family has changed my perspective and I have come to accept that there is more to life than zero to sixty times. Would I turn down a car for my birthday? Hell no! If your finances allow for it then my vote is to get him a new car.

Sounds awesome OP. What car are you thinking? Make it something totally what he wants but would be too practical to buy. Good luck.

Man here who is a car person. I'd prefer DW not do this as I'm particular about every little option you can get on the car and how I want it configured. However, a good salesperson will be willing to work with you. They can probably give you a new car for an evening test drive. Put that with a bow on it, but then tell him this is just a "sample" and you'l buy the exact model he wants afterwards.

Another option is the dealership has service loaners and they may have one in the model you want.

A good dealer will let you take a new car home for a night, espeically if you've done business with them before. Offer to put a deposit down on a new car if they really want something.

Is 8t a boy car or girl car

Only if you have tons of cash. I wouldn't lock in a car payment without discussing.

You can’t if he’s an owner of the car you want to turn in.
