The one time I knowingly allowed a mistake like that to occur, I lost my uninsured very expensive cell phone. I don't mess w/karma!
No, I wouldn't say anything and pretend I didn't see it. If they cancel one of the refunds, so be it.
It's eye-opening to see so many similar stories about mistaken refunds. It has now happened to me twice, and each time I've contacted the retailer repeatedly to give them their money back...without success. So I'm wondering... what does the law say about such cases?
Sams Club not only gives refunds but will reorder what you bought. They always say keep it.
I've been undercharged at a one-shop store manned by the owner, and at a large retailer. I went back to the store when I realized it and paid the difference. I chose not to go back to the large retailer because that was opening a can of worms. The cashier gets in trouble, they look at you like you tried to steal from them, it's a huge hassle and wait in line, etc. Not worth the trouble. |
I had an online store send me 2 identical area rugs - it was a hassle to explain the return and they ultimately ended up refunding me even after i explained I wasnt returning something i actually paid for and didn't need a refund - I just didn't want to pay to return it because it was their mistake. I ended up getting my rug for the price of a restocking fee. Oh well, i tried.
They won’t care. I ordered a vanity from wayfair once and then changed my mind and cancelled it. This was a $2000 dollar vanity. They still shipped it and when I asked them about returning it they told me to keep it.
