Snowvid - what are you cooking?

we got takeout Indian tonight so we'll have at least one more meal of leftovers, and I'll probably use some of the leftover sauces to cook extra too (like put it over lentils or potatoes or something).

Other meals:
* borscht and rye bread
* quesadillas with black beans and vegetables
* skillet with potatoes, apples, sauerkraut, and sausage
* broccoli-cheddar casserole
* breakfast for dinner: probably pancakes, yogurt, and fruit

By monster cookies do you mean big cookies or something else? I am just imagining these to be special in some way.....

Ordered our grocery delivery for Sunday morning, thinking the snow wasn't going to start until later in the day. So we'll see how we do.

For today, clam chowder. If we get groceries, beef stew with barely and stout -- if I'm ambitious, that, in a pie shell. Lamb meatballs.

If we don't get groceries, I imagine a decent amount of tomato sauce and beans will be on the agenda.

My husband made a two-pound meatloaf last night for two adults and two kids. We will be eating that for the next two years, unfortunately.

That's 2 meals at 1/4lb per person. Doesn't seem excessive. (Unless your kids are like 1 and 3. I'm sitting here ten years down the road and a 13 yo boy can inhale more food than you can imagine.)
