so others have also heard that they will be making phone call todays? let's keep each other posted!
Anonymous
They are not going to call today. Someone started a bad rumor. If you hear anything it will be on Friday or over the weekend.

got a call this morning that our son was accepted to pre-k. so thrilled....seems like a wonderful place!

Is it possible that they will do PK and K now and higher grades later? I would be surprised if they'd made all the FA decisions yet ...
Anonymous
DD got into k. Very happy. Have a friend that did not.
Anonymous
How do you know your friend didn't get in? Did the school call to say the child was not a good fit or did your friend not get a call yet?
Anonymous
I also got a call today that DS was admitted to K.
Anonymous
Yes school called to say dd did not get in.

What went wrong?

Gah ... are they only calling for kindergarten? I would think they'd have to wait for all their re-enrollment to finish before admitting higher grades

Did you get any feedback as to why your DD did not get in? I am just curious - I thought almost everyone gets in there.

That's a thoughtless comment.

I don't think it was meant as thoughtless. More interested. Since someone else indicated that they are under enrolled-- trying to figure out what type
of kids they are looking for.

Why is this offensive? Maybe we should stop judging the quality of a school by the level of admissions competition. If you are confident in the school, then that should not matter.

Of course it's thoughtless to say to someone who was just rejected from a school "why were you rejected, I heard no one gets rejected from there". It's like saying to someone who failed a driving test "oh I think driving tests are so easy." I would hope that the speaker only said it because they failed to give some thought to how the other person is feeling and it has nothing to do with being confident in your choice of school even if it accepts a higher proportion of applicants than another school.
