Need some PG Romance in my life

I actually don’t care about that too much, I just want something earnest and that translated into PG when I was thinking of how to describe the swooning I seek. Outlander is great, with great chemistry, but it’s not ‘sweet’ in the same way I’m thinking (although once Clare goes back and Jamie has glasses, it’s more so. Also I made the mistake once of downloading one of those episodes to watch on a plane and it was basically porn and I quickly had to minimize it and find something else to do).

Leslie Knope and Ben definitely fit the bill.

Thinking back over my own list, apparently I’m into tragic/bittersweet stuff too, e.g Sanditon. (The Good Wife also falls into that category).

Have you seen The Good Place? Same creator as Parks and Rec, another cute romance storyline with a twist. We just binged it and I actually wish we hadn't watched it so quickly because it's only 4 seasons and now I'm bummed it's over!

THIS.

Crash Landing is so good. The lead actor / actress are gorgeous and the supporting cast is a delight.

Seconding Poldark. We devoured it.

Always Be My Maybe -- adorable romance, great music (beware of ear worms, though), and Keanu Reaves in a minor role is absolutely hilarious.

BTW, many of these suggestions are perfect for watching with teen and young adult kids. Mine enjoy romantic comedy, but they are totally freaked out if there's any heavy-breathing sex scenes while they're watching with mom and dad.

For Christmas one year, my family got me the Anne of Green Gable‘s 1985 DVD. If you’ve never seen it, please drop what you’re doing right now and watch it.

Anne of Green Gables https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00005YNTR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_WZgeGb6P3PVJ5

You might be able to find it streaming somewhere too.

I haven't read all the replies, but OMG you want the Korean rom/com series called "Crash Landing on You"

Romantic, funny, a glimpse into (romanticized) N. and S. Korea and their differences...

I love that version of Anne of Green Gables! I know there have been other versions, but no one IMHO compares to Megan Follows and Jonathan Crombie. And Marilla and Matthew and the music....it's like comfort food.

Heartland! It is a Canadian drama set in cowboy country in Alberta, but focuses on a strong female lead and her family. They really draw out the romance over a long time, so you get very excited when your favorite characters get together! Plus, breathtaking scenery, and many funny scenes. (I'm a superfan if you can't tell.)

+1 to Crash Landing On You

Your opening post and all your followup clarifications of what you're looking for are describing CLOY to a T. Watch it, then come back and thank us for the recommendation!
