What is your school's policy on teacher's expressing socio-political beliefs during class?

Looking for specific policies in place at your particular independent school. Thank you kindly.

You mean things that capture their values?

Unfortunately, our President has been a disaster of a role model with the incessant lies and belittling of others. Add to this the events at the Capitol last week. We teach our students that words have consequences. It's a hard time to be a teacher.
My students had plenty of questions on Thursday and Friday. I answered them in an age appropriate manner.

Stop.. it’s not like he left people trapped on a post to die like the last administration.

What kind of banner are we talking about? A pride flag?

Stop. Please tell me that didn't happen.

I'm not sure how BLM is acceptable when they are on the record as being anti-white...their leadership in the US and Canada has made anti-white statements.

They’re not anti-white. They’re pro-black. Somebody’s gotta be.

No they are anti white and anti nuclear family. There is a lot to look into and as a result we are concerned. Politics should be left outside

😂😂 I bet you was at the capitol. Nutters

Happened at several Wash DC private schools. Many were crying and dramatic, many were absent.

I would say the political discussion is indirect as when instructing on Catholic doctrine on the sins of abortion, birth control, homosexual marriage, the death penalty, etc.

Interesting. Who decides what is "false"? Is there a resource provided?

You are entitled to opinions but not facts. Falsehoods need not be decided. They are simply so.

Teacher expressed her political beliefs as an attack on my child. That is my DC was the poster child for having different political beliefs than the teacher. (My kid too dumb to shut up). They fired the teacher the next year. No teachers are not allowed to preach their beliefs in public school. At college duh of course all are liberal.

Yes being sad about a divisive womanizer becoming president is a normal reaction. Look what has happened to our country under him? Most polarized since e civil war. He is leading the charge.

yeah and Obama was a great uniting force with his "you lost John" comment. Trump made it worse but Obama certainly didn't help at all.
