Current HC was at Potomac before Landon, maybe not too harsh? On the flipside, 2019 Landon squad in year one post-Bordley was devoid of talent by Landon standards and pushed Gonzaga, Bullis, and Prep to competitive games, including some in OT. |
| Petro may be considering the role of special defensive assistant coach at UNC beginning in 2022. |
| Dude the school is going downhill. It is a joke with new head they are trying to get rid of any athletic talents. School use to be good but dealt with many years of bad eggs. Sad situation and wish I could tell you the head cared about athletics but he doesn’t. No wonder our guy left |
dude you are an idiot. |
| Just get someone in there to beat Bullis and Prep |
| Promote JR. It’s a no brainer. Great mind with the name. |
100%. According to Bill Bradley, he offered JR the Head Coach position and Cabel Maddux the assistant position. |
With Giblin running the box, and Petro and Cottle heading up the JV. |
| i assumed this was bogus given all the bad jokes, but it looks real. Surprised the HC is leaving since he's an alum and has been in charge for only a few years. By all accounts he is a very good person and teacher with a great perspective on life. Anybody have any insight as to why he's leaving? |
SSSAS is doing the same with their lax program. No administration support. Not sure why any serious player would ever go there if they hoped to play at a higher level. |
Some folks on here might have a hard time buying this but from all accounts I have heard, the current head coach is burnt out from coaching and no longer wants to be a head coach. |
He's leaving based on a combination of income potential compared to cost of living in the area, family time in having to work at the school full time and run a year round after school program and the more than anticipated parent and alumni intrusion. |
so if burnt out its not just from coaching dont most coaches have gigs in athletic departments and such? |
How do you get burned out coaching in a year with no sports? |
