2020 has been strange... But not that strange. |
wow. jealous much? |
While I agree with you the current headmaster comes off as an intellectual elite, I do think he cares about athletics as its been part of the schools culture for decades. Jim doesn't strike me as anyone who is going to rock the ship either which way. The current head coach was not meant for Landon, he is better suited for Maret or GDS or Sidwell. |
| Bordley coaches Landon to multiple national championships is lacrosse and also coached football team. His players loved him and he never embarrassed himself or the school. |
You don't know what you are even talking about. Landon hardly had a lacrosse program before Bordley even arrived. Both were excellent coaches and probably the best coaches this area will ever see. DC lacrosse is not what it is today if it is not for these two mentioned above. Both did a a ton of work at the youth level to help the game and develop the next crop of great coaches. |
|
Giblins players loved playing for him, he got the most of his players.
|
| Giblin's kid has 3 more years at MSM. Doubt he would leave until then. |
|
They are coaching @spalding |
Too funny! Dave Cottle helped out this fall. 0% he is coaching at Spaulding this spring. Big Dave is not coach at Spaulding, and will not be coaching at the high school level. This must be some sort of bs to get DC kids to consider the bottom barrel Severn school. |
Cottle makes plenty of money with camps and tournaments. Why would he want to coach HS and deal with what comes with it? |
|
No chance Cottle has any interest in coaching HS program with high expectations.
I could maybe see Petro expressing an interest in the Landon job but I just don’t it being a long term solution. |
He's probably pulling for UNC to have a down year... swoop in and coach his sons! |
| Petro's looking for a little better paying gig than a high school lacrosse job regardless of how good the program is historically. Landon will have to change the way they do business to allow the new coach to run all camps and clinics through the school so they can afford to live in the area. |
|
If Landon finds the right guy for the job, I'm sure they would entertain providing housing for top candidates.
The own owns several homes on campus grounds and right off their campus on Bradley Blvd. I would have to imagine the role will attract some very strong candidates, this will be a very interesting hire for the AD and Headmaster. I'd be curious if any young assistants from area schools would apply. |
