PP here. That was my point. Privatization will only fill the gap where there is profit to be made. In rural states and small towns, they would get no private service.

Um, you realize that the private sector actually uses USPS for last mile delivery, don't you? I work in the private sector. There are some things we do better, and a lot of things that should not be privatized. Mail service is literally in the Constitution! It should not be privatized. Idiot Republicans in Congress have been trying to bleed the USPS dry for years, and this is the result.
