Not PP, but I'll admit it. Yes, I love a bit of misogyny once in a while!

If he answered the phone with the wrong name well that's awkward isn't it.

At the end of the day this is your problem. I agree with other posters that ask why can't you speak up for yourself. That is the bigger problem.

I used to do this when I was younger

Better than being called "hot"

I hate that.

I highly doubt any of you ladies are truly beautiful. Guys will do and say anything to get between your legs.

This is such a humble brag post.

See also, "babe." I think both are kind of trashy. Obviously, someone you're with telling you you look beautiful is nice. Calling you "Beautiful?" I'm from NY, that's what the guys at the deli counter shout at you. "Hey! Beautiful! You wanna cawfee with that?' Ugh.

FYI it’s usually the men that are players that do that because they don’t want to accidentally call you a different name or even forget your name. Trust me I was in the dating world for 24 yrs before I finally remarried and I was drop dead gorgeous but it doesn’t matter what you look like. These types use that word very loosely when they’re dating. I hated it when I met men that used it and to me it was a red flag. Think of Samanthas playboy bf Richard in Sex in the City. Yuck.

One day it will go from beautiful to you look pretty good for having 3 kids, and you will take what you can get

I would write your name in permanent marker on his hand and tell him to please 86 the “beautiful”.

Ha! Also NY, can confirm. It's never bothered me and still doesn't.

Next up, a post from someone asking whether she should DTMF because he never says she's beautiful.

Ask him to call you Princess or Big Botty Girl those are far better monikers.

The guy I'm dating is like that. He's a romantic and means well, but it's so cheesy sometimes ("I could get lost in your eyes....")

I just flat-out told him it does nothing for me and if he wants to compliment me, he can compliment non-physical things. He stopped with the physical compliments and is getting better at complimenting other things, like intelligence and conversation skills.

Sounds mean, but he's a fairly well-known artist and used to women swooning over him. Wanted to make it clear that he can date me, but I'm not gonna hop in bed with him just because he recites a couple lines of bad poetry.
