I like distinctive names and I'm an old soul. But Leona? Just no. Would you do Eleanor? Too common? How about Felicia? Claudia? Am I getting the vibe at all here? Even if not, please no Leona.

You can dislike the name plenty of people dislike the name, and I said nothing to them, it's a preference. What you can't do is pretend your misogyny and ageism is just disliking a name and expect people not to call you out on it.
