I don't know why people like you keep suggesting less than 6ft. It's like you want them to get COVID lol |
Worst parents of all time. Just say no, OP. |
PP is saying they would never let their kids sit less than six feet apart. "No way." |
Large groups of Catholics have passed away due to complications from COVID
|
There you go. Just. Don't. Sit. Within. Six. Feet. |
Michael Jackson's father was worse. |

NONONONONONO
Did you just see the threads on the halloween party that infected so many kids from md/dc? please don't risk soccer being cancelled for all of us. |
LMAO. There's always one. |
You are being selfish. Others might be seeing relatives for Thanksgiving, even if it's outside, it's still a risk to pass it on to an older person. Some kids might need go to the dentist or the doctor. Most kids on travel teams practice Futsal or soccer in the winter, inside or outside, so no one on your team is doing any of these things? Or is it all about you and your immediate family? |
| If you are asking my opinion I wouldnt do it. I know they are all over each other at practice and games so I dont see a need for unnecessary gatherings with long periods of talking and in each other faces. You have already assumed some risk allowing your child to participate in sports so I am sure you are in the middle of shelter in place and indoor parties. stick with what you feel safe with. Others will do what they feel comfortable with...no one will stop them nor should they try. |
| We already had one after a random game. A home game ended around 12:30 so the parents had several pizzas delivered to the field and the kids ate some pizza outside. I even grabbed a slice. That was definitely over two weeks ago. Everyone is fine. However, we had a preseason tournament in Columbia and we ate inside with some other players and families and I was uncomfortable but just so lucky so far. |
| I don't want to freak any of you out... but apparently there are these things called "automobiles". Not only is it an internal combustion engine, but you pump an explosive agent in order for it to operate. In 2018, 36,000 people were killed and it doesn't matter if you have preexisting conditions... hundreds of thousands more injured. And it's polluting the planet at an alarming rate. |
I can make decisions based on my family, other parents are free to do the same. Winter soccer is on hiatus until January at our club, so that's irrelevant to us. If a kid wants to see grandma, they are free to not come to after season events. These kids have been practicing for between 1 and 2 hours day together 4 days a week in addition to games, worrying about an end of season get together seems ridiculous |
that's because the worry warts aren't thinking for themselves. received opinions abound |
If you are asking this question to a bunch of strangers on DCUM, then you already know the answer yourself. Thanksgiving is around the corner so please tell the other parents to act responsibly. |
