I feel the same. I don't have an issue with multiple teams (there are some small teams out there after all, and they should get a chance to compete, too)-- but more than 50 swimmers in a session makes me flinch.


I’m going to try to catch one of the livestreams, which I imagine won’t be able to show everything off-deck but might give better idea.

we were at the Machine St James meet it was really well done. no spectators, one timer (in masks) per lane (touch pads) no more than 60 kids in a session. officials (4) 2 on each side not with timers but on either side of the pool. A starter and a head official. Kids were brought down by heat and in masks when not swimming Kids were spread out in the bleachers, wearing masks. also, our site did not participate in a meet in March
