Underrated by whom?

Proximity to politics will rub off? Huh? Odd to chose a business school based on being politically articulate. What is that anyway? I am barely literate but I have been involved in high level politics for 30 years. Furthermore, businesses are not looking for water cooler Politico types.

How can Pitt be both popular and underrated? How does it compare to other safeties?

Underrated and popular doesn't make sense. If you said "underrated school that should be more popular", that would make sense.

IMHO, William & Mary is underated. And probably the most underrated school in the midatlantic.

UMBC. Seems like a young and quickly rising star. Also, the admissions standards are getting increasingly competitive as well. The average GPA of this year’s accepted freshman class was a 3.92, when two years ago it was a 3.82. The average SAT scores of accepted students are increasingly getting higher as well. I saw a chart from an article that showed where Bethesda area kids were applying to college and where they were getting in, and 70% of those who applied to UMBC got in, which is only 2% higher for the 68% of those who applied to College Park. I went to Hopkins, but I know lots of students who went to UMBC for undergrad and went to Hopkins grad, and they were all very very smart. There’s also plenty of other students who went to UMBC that went to other top notch grad schools as well. They also do a very good job with academic achievement among URMs as well. UMBC produces the highest number of Black students who go onto get a PhD, Harvard comes in 2nd.

Yes Faber, established right after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, a classic institution indeed!
