| Once every couple of weeks when I am running to get something too. |

where do your 14 and 16 year olds get "their" money?
(no judgement here--we 're trying to figure finances out with my 14 year old who wants new things all the time). |
Mine are 13 and 17: Mowing lawns, pet sitting, birthdays, oddball holidays. (they're the only 2 kids in the entire family on both sides, and have generous relatives) |
| 14, 17 and 19 yr olds - Never |
This one is my favorite. I mean it is a myth from decades ago and still persists. DCUM never fails! |
16 year old has summer/weekend job |
| There isn't a Starbucks in my neighborhood. |
| Have DS 15 and 17. Never even had it! Maybe b/c I don't really like it and don't go? |
| Mine is a sports nut, so he rarely gets things from there because he thinks it’s too heavy and unhealthy. Maybe once every month he’ll get a decaf (also won’t have caffeine) something or other. |
My 14yo receives $14/week for doing a few things - he’s responsible for recycling/trash (kitchen to bins, bins to street, bins back to garage), all of his laundry (including bedding), and if we ask him to do any random thing that comes up. He has a checking account/check card to use and I Zelle the funds to his account - I used to do it weekly, but have been doing it monthly (based on # of Fridays in a month) during COVID since he’s not doing much/spending any money. |
