I find it odd you can predict a U13 staying together in the coming years. Nobody is going to break into the team? Nobody is going to leave? |
Heard BSC was missing a lot of players including key players - that’s why they had so many younger U12 kids playing up and no bench. |
| Arlington vs RU? Results? |
Both teams were missing key players. Kudos to BSC. They played better than the last time with a lower score (first time was 4-1). FCV controlled most of the game and time of possession. Missed on several easy goals as well. BSC 05 is NOT on the same level as FCV right now. |
If losing a game to a team with no bench, several play ups and just one fast kid isn’t a drop off I don’t know what to tell you. You also have to come with a better reason than “they had one fast kid”. Every team from now on will have more than one fast kid, that is kinda the point of these leagues. |

^^I think it is about the age group.
Being so young, athletic development varies widely with kids. A team can still out athlete another team is what I think the PP is trying to say. |
Well that doesn’t help either because girls tend to become less athletic not more. The fast player may slow down but that doesn’t mean he other kids will get faster themselves. |
I disagree. Some players get taller and faster and some players get taller and slower. No one really knows how puberty will affect each player. |
| i dread what a real season will look like with your clowns arguing over meaning less scrimmages. it is youth soccer with kids who in a few months won't remember a score of a single game but you all remember them all. sort of creepy. |
This discussion isn't about a game, if you hadn't noticed. |
And some get taller and lumber along. |
the fact that adults talk this much about youth soccer............yeah creepy. |
Yet, here you are... |
Creepy has become just another term that people throw around when they don’t have anything useful to observe or offer. It is a lite version of accusing somebody of holding offensive views - offensive because you don’t like them for reasons you can either not understand or articulate. Cut the nonsense and get out into the world a little more. If you don’t like it, explain why it’s stupid to obsess about preseason scrimmages. And all of you are either fools or rec parents if you think your kids don’t remember or care about results. Most top travel players do beginning U9. But who the hell should take scrimmages seriously. |
I have 2 kids, 1 div 1 player and 1 may or may not up to them. I can tell you for a fact they do not recall their scores or their place in the standings, it was about improving each day. Your kids will end up being NARPs if you keep up with this and they will burn out. |
