| How did arlington GA do? |
You must not have watched the games. The 06 game was even. The 07 game was close with an FCV win. The FCV 08's were beaten by speed. One Bethesda player did the damage, all speed. This will all even out in the coming years. I don't see a drop off, but competitive teams at every age group. |
|
|
| Let's face it. FCV has become a middle of the road club in the post-ECNL age groups - 06 and below. It's no longer a destination club like it was pre-DA/GA and that shows in the results vs Bethesda. |

Arlington showed well against Richmond United. At least after my DD’s game, we heard some Richmond players commenting about how good the Arlington players were and how Richmond didn’t expect that level of contest. Arlington is ready to compete, y’all. |
If one player beat FCV what will they do against a good team with multiple good players? |
And why do you care? If families go to one or another club is their business. There are several reasons behind the decision on why families go to one or other club, winning or losing a scrimmage game is not a reason at all. I know teams that lose one or two league games and yet they end champions. Also winning should not be the goal of your team, the goal should be that all players in the team know to play soccer. If they win okay they are lucky. The problem here is that there are a bunch of mediocre and loser parents bragging that their kids team wins scrimmages. Get a job! |
What year? |
| People care because FCV the club has a reputation in the local soccer community as an untrustworthy pariah that looks to recruit away players from other clubs. That will be a lot harder to do now as they are no longer in the top league. FCV parents are often considered arrogant as well. |
Like I said, only works on the littles |
No club brags more about a win than FCV. You can’t claim the high ground as long as BP tweets. |
So multiple good players only works at U-littles? You expect that Bethesda won’t continue to improve? That only FCV a will develop? |
