I feel like it summarizes Rick and Kathy Hilton's parenting in a nutshell. They let Paris get to the point where she was skipping school to party at 16 and then shipped her off to this place to deal with it. I mean I don't know the whole story but it seems like there could have been some steps taken in between?

+1 None of this sounds shocking to me.

Just visit the teen forum here at DCUM and you’ll see plenty of rich parents with no idea WTF to do with their partying kids and people telling them to send them to “therapeutic boarding school.”

I knew a bunch of kids growing up who got sent off to various places and came back with horrifying stories.

Yeah I lived in LA and sending kids away was a thing. They had lots of ads for these places in the mountain states in local magazines, like a whole section .

I waited until midnight for the release of this documentary (Pacific Standard Time) and am glad that I did.

I always saw Paris Hilton as a spoiled, stuck-up + sleazy brat.
Especially when she was younger.

I also thought she had the perfect life though.
I.e., beauty, fortune, fame & all the material things that money could buy.
She didn’t have a relatable bone in her body.

After watching this documentary, I am literally crying still.
