A lot of the big MLM-ers in my neighborhood have moved on to becoming real estate agents. Maybe try that, OP. You still get to tell lies and work your network and post BS on social media, but it’s slightly more legit.

It’s about selling “direct” but you have to buy the product from the company, resell it for a small profit and recruit people below you to sell more - then take a piece of their profit. You make more money off the people you recruit, then actual sales.

MLM are only theoretically lucrative if you are at the very top of the pyramid. And even then, most of them won’t tell you about how much money they spent on “their business” and buying the goods. 99% of MLM “sellers” lose money according to the FTC:

Mlm is not being an entrepreneur- it is being involved in a shady pyramid scheme. Even if you are not losing money and being taken advantage of, then you are up line from someone who is and you are taking advantage of them.

Google away - tons of websites/blogs about mlms and YouTube videos. Netflix just put out a documentary on lularoe. Bad business, IMO. Sounds like many of these schemes are making money buy selling product to their ‘consultants’ who are the real customers and are just playing store by selling to their friends.

Network marketing - the concept of selling goods and services based on creating a network of independent distributors, each of whom, in addition to the sale of products, also has the right to attract partners with similar rights. Today there are real people in this industry who are earning large sums of money. There are many married couples on the list of successful workers. But if there are such people, it does not mean that you will also become one of them. The successful and rich in MLM are few and far between! There are millions of people in MLM who never made it there. For example, the guys from https://amasty.com/magento-1-to-2-migration-service.html make just as much money. Maybe you'll understand something for yourself.
