Re: the comment above - I agree. I must not have read the OP thoroughly. You cannot let a 5 and.3 year old play outside without supervision. It may actually be illegal. They could run into the street. Secure your doors with top locks they can't reach immediately. Also, kids these ages need supervision - like others have said, not next to them 24/7, but reasonably close. This is how tragedies happen. You see stories on the news of dressers falling on toddlers - why was a 2 year old in their room alone long enough for that to happen? |
Humm...you title explains it all: "5yo and 3yo" What else is need to explain? |
Or worse, is it the neighbor kids who, while old enough to be outside without an adult, are neither old enough nor being compensated for babysitting your child? |
Page 2, OP tried to explain. It made it worse. |
I agree. Also, are you not with them when they are riding bikes/scooters? Only eat and drink at table? Are they not allowed to have a dry not-so-messy snack or water while their are in basement? How about outside? Your rules are weird, and your kids aren't "getting into trouble" their being kids and you are the one who makes their normal behaviors a problem |
