So tired of the birds and nests

Maybe the birds are teaching you a lesson: find a mate, reproduce and give life. They are happy.

Have you ever seen a bird with babies? They seem seriously stressed all the time.

I wish I could find the nests. I live on quite some land and it would take me forever to find the nests. But, I feed the birds everyday with multiple feeders. Now, the chipmunks... I live them but...

A bird (of prey) dropped a dead chipmunk on my balcony and it landed a couple feet from me.

Like a previous PP, we have catbirds who are very protective. When they get up close and chirp at me, I just talk back to them and tell them I'm not after their babies. Yes, it makes me look crazy, but oddly, I feel like they respond and get less aggressive.

Or maybe I've just spent way too much time at home lately

Actually i kinda had the same situation with a hummingbird. I used to take care of a hummingbird which used to build his nest on my berries tree in my backyard and in a few days she had 4 little birds and they started eating my berries LOL! To be honest i was upset because i used those barriers to make jam and meantime i don’t to scare them or leave to i bought them some sunflower hearts from the store and put them in a bird feeder that i hanged on another tree and that helped ! they started to eat the bird food instead of berries. And now many other kinds of birds visit the tree every morning to eat cereals. They’re cute but you have to know to deal with them.

I don't have domesticated animals or pets as I don't have the bandwidth to take care of them. However, I adore the birds, small animals, bugs and butterflies that live in our yard. We are blessed.
