Peds response to fever

Interesting. I tried to get one because I had a sore throat, felt run down/fatigued, and temp was 99.5 (usually runs around 97.5). I didn't meet the criteria for a test at my doctor's office, which requires cough, trouble breathing, or temp over 100.4. It lasted 2 days and now I'm back at work. Who knows.

OP, I'm interested in an update as well.

Honestly, I was in disbelief (and I’m hormonal; see comment about newborn at home). The test isn’t great and maybe I just need to accept it’s the way things are now. Just seems like an ear check and strep test would be a better start.

Yes, but my guess is they don’t want you in the office for the ear check if they think you might have Covid.
