I keep reading the rioting and looting is actually being done by white supremacists. Is this true?

It is true, for example in Athens, GA. But some are actually antifa, and some are just opportunists. Including many black opportunists.

But "some is actually antifa" is the same thing as "mostly white supremacists" b/c the entire antifa group is designed to sew division, incite black people to riot, and make then send in white liberal "saviors" to convince the black community to vote DEM because of course those are the only ones who can help. The NY Times quotes the Southern Poverty Law Center as saying that there is no evidence that white supremacist groups are behind the riots. Trust me, if the SPLC thinks this, there really is no evidence.

I'm in St. Paul and almost everyone in our neighborhood has been identified by SPPD as a white supremacist. Lots of incendiary devices left in yards and hundreds of cars without plates driving around. Not sure about Minneapolis, but lots of reports in South Minneapolis of white supremacists. Friend in Seattle says most of the looting and rioting going on now there are anarchists.

I think there are instigators too. But there are also independent criminal groups going around store to store looting. It’s organized, and planned. I think nefarious groups are starting shit online and maybe the criminals don’t know they’re being used for fun.

I find the fact that you find it implausible to be extremists amusing - clearly not paying attention to FBI domestic terror threats. There are definitely black looters, but they are by far not the main instigators in my city. And the past few days, we haven't seen them at all except at protests - not since Thursday night which was insane but now it's almost all disgusting white guys amped up with guns, bandanas and stolen cars. Yes, these ninja ones are the worst, they are completely covered so you don't know who they are or what their agenda is or who they work for! She was so nonchalant about the whole thing and didn't engage at all with the black sista's so you gonna be down for the cause but you can't even engage in conversation with 2 black ladies, I don't think so!
