| Um when you look at the footage, it’s black people. I know that doesn’t fit the narrative you’re trying to create but just look with your eyes at the ton of footage. |
Lafayette Square is federal land, St. John's Episcopal Church is not, and you don't get to teargas protesters and shoot rubber bullets at them just because they don't have a permit. https://religionnews.com/2020/06/02/ahead-of-trump-bible-photo-op-police-forcibly-expel-priest-from-st-johns-church-near-white-house/ |
This. When you look at hours of footage at cities all over the US it is black males looting. Again, that does not fit your narrative but across hours of footage it is black gangs of looters. |
| So BLM calls for protests, justified, but then tries to escape from responsibility when things get out of hand and people die? They should apply for jobs with the Minneapolis police force. Fit right in. |
One report I heard this morning said that the rioting and looting are coordinated. The instigators break the windows and leave. Then, the looters come in. They said that in NYC that the looting is local gang related. I suspect that it is different in every city. In DC, one reporter said that he witnessed a guy with a hammer come down from White House and methodically broke windows. (This was Sunday night.) Last night, (can't remember which city) they said that people brought crowbars to pull the plywood off the windows. This is planned and coordinated. The looters may just be opportunist, but this is not spontaneous at the start. |
Not dealing in facts does not help anyone. The fact is, the vast majority of looters are black. The other fact is, most black people are not looters. The looters are making a whole group of people look terrible and destroying the jobs we all need. We all need to condemn the looting. It's so sad. |
Can we start by condemning the police actions and police responses, please? The police are empowered in society's name to protect and serve. When they act unlawfully, they are acting unlawfully in society's name. |
I'm not OP, but they clearly linked to a story that you have decided not to read. |
Honestly the police need our support right now to protect homes, businesses and peoples livelihoods. The police are risking their lives on the frontlines against rampaging gangs. |
Ok, I condemn the act of that guy in the Upper Midwest. Condemned. Killed someone. Done. And now I praise the thousands of other cops out there doing the necessary, stressful and dangerous job, every day, that none of us are willing to do. |
Nope. Expand your condemnation to all of the police all over the country who are responding to peaceful protests with violence. |
No, you know what the police need right now? The police need the people who are in charge of the police to tell them to stop committing violence. And then the police need to actually stop committing violence. Start there. |

There was a video of a person covered head to toe smashing windows and a group of people stopped him and detained him while others notified a near by police officer. When the police got to him and they had taken off his face and head covering he was a white 35-45 year old white guy.
What you see on the news is only going to be the riots. They won't show the peaceful protests. Look how far down the pages the article about the pleas from his George Floyd's brother vs. pictures of riots. If it bleeds it leads. |
We are not blind. |
I'm not talking about protestors and I'm black, but we have to be careful of these people, and if you are not educated about it you should be! The poor black community are the ones that are gonna be stuck in jail unable to afford good attorneys to bail them out or dye from covid, that's one of the points of the protest the unequal treatment of blacks, don't you think that applies to protestors too. Also Cambride Analytica, Bell Pottinger they have already shown how to cleverly play on peoples fears to disrupt elections around the world! https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/01/dhs-domestic-terrorists-protest-294342 https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/minneapolis-protest-riot-umbrella-man-george-floyd-a9539741.html https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/02/fringe-groups-trump-democrats-295728 https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/04/business/bell-pottinger-guptas-zuma-south-africa.html |
