Why won’t Target deliver to my zip code?

Anonymous
There is an issue with the major shipping services and capacity this year. Some of them have given major retailers package amount quotas (like Macy’s and LL Bean), so I would be surprised if Target is running into that. This year they have had a habit of breaking up one order into many packages, and one time I got a can of baking powder FedExed from North Dakota. They may not be doing that right now, and will only ship those things that can come from your local warehouse. That’s why you can drive to the store and get it, but not get it shipped.

But the when I go to check out it says they won’t deliver to my zip code (Rockville, MD, 20853 if anyone cares). Why? It gives me some message about serving all customers and not shipping to certain zip codes. Hello? Is there some Conspiracy to keep infection rates high in Montgomery County by preventing people from accessing cleaning supplies? Is my zip code too wealthy? Not wealthy enough? Anyone know why? I am mostly joking about conspiracies and such, but I confess the lockdown is getting tome and my sanity sometimes feels tenuous these days!

Oh good lord.
I was just at the Target in ROCKVILLE & guess what?
They had disinfectant wipes as far as the eye could see -- they also had clorox, lysol & Mr. Clean in case you were curious.

You claim that you're "mostly" joking about the conspiracies, but based on your tone and the manner in which you wrote that post, I don't think you're joking at all.

Here's an idea... try leaving your house, go for a walk, get some fresh air, get off the internet for a bit and maybe, just maybe, you'll begin to manage some semblance of rational thought again.

If you've gone down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories & start considering that what you've just mentioned is plausible, I don't think many people would consider you a productive, well balanced & NON-delusional member of society anymore.

You should think about getting help for your anxiety and paranoia... and that's not snark.

Oh, and go to a store; they have supplies.
Get off the internet.

We are trying to order Christmas gifts for the kids that is mostly only available at Target and EVERYTHING we try to order says "not available to ship to your zipcode," so we've had friends and family in several states try for us and they get the same messaging. Everything keeps telling us we can pick up in store only (everything from toys to packs of underwear).

Really annoying. I think Target is going to lose money this season by trying to force people to go in store as the pandemic gets worse. I hate giving business to Walmart, but there's no issue with shipping from them.

I'm a Walmart person who posted frustrations above when I had to order something from Target, but just wait until you get the Walmart mess about too many items in your cart and have to start taking things out one by one to figure out the offending item(s). I think something goes wrong when you order a pack of 25 marbles or such.

I spoke to customer service and they are out of stock. I was toy shopping and got this message for every action figure I was looking at. They said the website isn’t updating.

Wow, I haven't hit that particular glitch yet. Something to look forward to, I guess. Ha.
