Stolen Whole Foods delivery

Why would the delivery driver get in trouble and why would the store bear ANY responsibility for this? Honestly, people like you drive me crazy. You know you’re expecting a delivery - stay by your phone.

People like you cause others to lose their jobs for no reason.

Huh? I specifically said I didn't identify the order or driver. The issue is that every single time I got an order from WF, they've rung the doorbell. This is the first time in 9 weeks that they did not. In fact normally they ring the doorbell and then call! (They have not texted me for anything other than to ask about substitutions.)

Based on the posts here, it seems the practices are wildly inconsistent. Perhaps the driver was different today than all the other days and didn't behave the same way.

Anyway, I am glad this has apparently not happened to others and am signing off the thread.

Anonymous wrote:OP, I do think you bear the larger responsibility here. I get almost all of our food via Amazon Fresh right now. When I know I have a delivery coming I am on the lookout for it. If you live in Dupont Circle then you likely live in a rowhouse right on the street. You really should have been watching out for the delivery better. This is not the driver's or Amazon's fault.

I never said it was and I didn't ask for a refund. I also left a very generous tip for the driver, as I always do. I simply asked if it happened to anyone else. And I was watching/listening/expecting what had happened every other time up to now.

If they ring the doorbell, it's not a contactless delivery. Im sure they sent you a message.

OP even said she got a message not sure why she is blaming the delivery person or WF!

Contact Amazon, get reimbursed.

Why should Amazon pay for Ops negligence in not retrieving their delivery?

They never rang the doorbell.

They always text send you emails multiple times before just drop it off. Did you ignore those?

Not OP, but for the last month, none of our Amazon grocery deliveries have texted me. The very first time I got like 4 texts right when the guy dropped stuff off, but not since then. They also don’t email until about 20 min. after the delivery.

Not true, they email to confirm, when ready, when about to deliver and if enter your number they text you! You must be thinking of someplace else!

I’m talking about Amazon Fresh. They email me when the order is “shipped”, which is an hour or two before the delivery window starts, and they email me to say the items have been delivered, around 20 minutes after the actual delivery. As I said in my post, the first time I got an Amazon Fresh order, the delivery guy texted me several times right when he dropped everything off, but none of the other deliveries have texted me. You can say “not true” all you like, but this is what my experience has been.

It happens. I would have asked for a refund though.
I've had food mis-delivered to my house twice since the quarantine. One had a label with the name/address of the person who was supposed to get it so we re-delivered it. The other did not. We also had our food mis-delivered once but I came outside when I got the text saying it had arrived and saw another neighbor out on his porch looking at the bag like what is this! So I went over and got it from him.

Sorry that happened OP. No shame in asking for a refund!
