It's true for me. I get recruiters contacting me all the time, but it just isn't worth giving up the security. Not everyone is a lawyer....get out of your bubble.

I specifically mentioned particularly for attorneys. That hardly means I am in a bubble who thinks everyone is an attorney.

You brought a spoon to a knife fight, mate. I can read what you wrote.

If you read it, then your response was pointless. And your analogy regarding weapons is . . . puzzling, to be charitable.

It's a joke, friend. And if you're going to make blanket statements about Feds, then it's not pointless to interject my experience. Have a nice day.

We are approaching Depression level unemployment, but heaven forbid this have any impact on Fed workers.

I’m far from a Trumper, but it is not hard to see how resentment towards Washington builds up.

I am fine as is. Thank you though

OP we are heading towards a depression cutting salaries at the countries largest employer would be Hoover-esque.

You let the Fed print money, you let gov borrow at 0%, and give the money to everyone who needs it to get through this.

Worried about debt or inflation? Don’t we are still the prettiest horse in the glue factory. Debt we can always pay off since it’s borrowed in our currency, and inflation during a depression is hard to pull off.

“Most” is a blanket statement, particularly when I acknowledged there were exceptions and even named particular fields where the exceptions were more common?

Feel free to keep commenting in a way that conveniently ignores what I actually wrote.

Clearly not far from a trumpet if you focus is on them and not the billionaires paying zero taxes or the high paid tech workers trading in your private information.

What kind of psycho is sniffing around to find people whose pay should be cut?

I see. So your baseless statement about most Feds not being able to jump to the private sector for more money adds value but my statement refuting that does not.

I guess that's where we're at.

Who said anything about it having to be one or the other?

Misery loves company, I suppose. Feds make up less than 2% of the workforce...but let's give them pay cuts for no reason. But I'll be damned if my refund / stimulus payment is delayed.

You are being intentionally obtuse, I hope.

Your comment that not everyone being a lawyer was pointless given what I wrote in my post. You sharing an example of a particular exception to the rule that most Feds don’t take a big pay cut relative to the private sector made sense in context.

A MAGAT who doesn’t realize the majority of Feds don’t even live or work in DC? Probably the guys who astroturfed the MI “protest,” so that the plebs get mad a some imaginary “Feds” living high on the hog rather than the billionaires responsible for all their actual misery.

Nice, folks. Let's start trying to cut our neighbor's throats while Trump spends our tax dollars forcing the Secret Service to rent rooms and golf carts at his resorts.

You didn’t qualify because you make too much? Hmm.
