80% of the virus is in and immediately around Detroit; Wayne, Oakland, Macomb counties. 3 counties out of 83. And many of the remaining 20% are people who work or have main residences in those three counties (and fled to other parts of the state to escape the SE Michigan hot spot).

Just listened to Whitmer. She cited the Michigander who thinks he contracted it from a gas pump. She pointed out that the virus can stay on stainless steel for 72 hours. Therefore, you cannot go anywhere. Don't you think that washing your hand with a disinfecting wipe or wearing gloves would an option?

Does this person exist? Any articles or profile? "The only place I went in the last 20 days... was out for gas"? Why would you be motivated to go get gas if you hadn't been anywhere?

If people who recently flew and people from SE Michigan stayed where they are & practiced genuine 14-day self-quarantine, the state could probably open back up. Masks for everyone in service industry. Keep social distancing. People can be smart about this, I don't think you need to keep EVERYONE in the house for weeks on end as so many businesses lurch toward bankruptcy.
