How do I not regret letting my kids get a pet?!

Having a dog for that month put things into perspective and now I like my cat much much more because it doesn't need my help to go to the bathroom, and doesn't bark.

I am the Mommy of two adult cats & I literally worship the ground that they walk on!
I grew up w/dogs only since my parents absolutely HATED cats.

So I did too.....until my kids wanted one. Or two.
Now I am so in love w/them.

Having had both dogs as well as cats as pets - I can definitely say that having a cat is much easier.
However they are work.
Especially the older they get.

Yes, they need to have their litter boxes cleaned to avoid that “gross” smell that emits from it.
They also may have litter box issues the older they get.

Since your hubby wanted this cat more so than you did OP, I would appoint him as the one to be the cat’s 😺 primary caretaker.
