When high schools take the same number of kids every year from certain k-8 schools, I would call that a different bucket.

DS is from Hispanic as we are from Brazil even though his great-grandparents were from Germany.

We are waiting to hear from Maret and Sidwell for 9th. Coming from public school. We know the odds aren't in our favor, we can only try.

They are on a different track...most probably already know if they gotten in already since schools normally email indications in Dec to allow for those that don’t get in enough time to scramble for a spot elsewhere.

Goodness, so tell him that Latin and Hispanic are two different things. Brazilians speak Portuguese, not Spanish. Therefore, Brazilians are not Hispanic.
