Yes, agree. OP, you can't control when you kid wakes up. You can at least try to control how they act when they do though. Find a way to keep your child quiet, either in his room or in a separate area of the house. My 4 year old usually has about 45 minutes worth of self regulated playing before I have to engage in the mornings. Set a snack and an activity out and maybe bribe him with something if he doesn't wake anyone else up. |
This - we purchased small pitchers (likely meant for cream) and put milk in them so our younger son (I think around age 4), could get a bowl of cereal by himself in the morning. He was not strong enough to use the gallon jugs. |
