Different Wake Up Times

What if your favorite toy is in the other room or the swing sounds like a good idea but is down the hall?

Thanks for all of of the different perspectives. Appreciate the different approaches and strategies. We do sleep in separate bedrooms on occasion, but we don’t really like it.

This post confused me. ... "I do whatever most people do before bed in the morning? Have sex? Shower? Read? Clean the kitchen? How is this even related to the questions?

Well, I don’t have sex since my husband is gone. But yes, all of the rest of it. We pretty much go to bed when the kids go to bed. He wakes up at 5:00 to go to work. So instead of staying up until 11 and waking up at 7 to get kids to school and myself to work, I wake up with him at 5am.

So I shower, read, clean the kitchen, fold laundry, watch TV, etc. in the morning.

And it’s related to the questions because this is how we handled the different wake ups.

But you don't have different wake ups. You get up at the same time. Am I missing something?

NP, but yes, you are totally missing the point. This person solved the problem of different wake up times by waking up at the same time. That was their solution to the problem.

I don't stress about waking him up. I try to be quiet, because I'm not an a**hole. But if something happens, oh well. Nothing is forcing him to stay up so much later than me, so if he wants extra sleep he can get it in the evening the same way I do. I am in bed 9:30pm-5:20am. He comes to bed between 11pm and midnight and will get up around 6am normally.
