Misspelled name on birth certificate

You need to have it fixed. All that stuff has to match come drivers license time, passport, ect.

My ds' middle name was misspelled. I corrected it.

We had to fix our daughter's birth certificate too. It didn't take long. But she still gets the free monthly books from the DC public library under the wrong name and it makes us chuckle. It's not a huge deal, OP.

Same thing with our daughter’s BC. My husbands name was misspelled. I had to go to viral records to have it fixed. I checked the website to see what I needed to bring with me, I called to speak to someone to cross check the information I read was correct and then I made a trip down to vital records. It was shockingly efficient and easy to correct. This was 5 years ago.
