AG Barr: Stands up to Trump

Totally predictable.

This interview is most definitely NOT standing up to Trump. Where do you get the idea that was the goal?

Barr has pulled it off. He’s created the appearance of independence from Trump to salvage his reputation. The rank and file won’t buy it, though. The rot in Main Justice still stinks.

He is only pulling it off if the media and public let him pull it off. This was all a coordinated effort, just like how he mischaracterized the Mueller report.

Nah, he didn't pull anything off. It was way too transparent. And actions speak louder than words.

After this weeks craziness with Trump and DOJ to burn "law and order" down, Barr got Trump's permission to disagree with him to distract the media. Expect some tweetstorm about Barr, and media speculation about when he would be fired while "law and order" is subverted in the background.

Agree. This feels like a "head fake" by Barr to change the narrative.

As I teach my 1st graders, sometimes you need an action apology.
Barr has given us words- give us an action, then we can talk

An action apology for WHAT exactly? He has NOTHING to apologize for.

Sure, Jan.

How does the reporter not ask about sentencing guidelines? Media fail.

Senior level White House sources insisted to ABC News that the president and top aides were unaware of Barr’s intentions in the interview and were informed of the content only just before it aired.

The White House had no immediate comment.

Sure they would admit that Barr's interview is a staged drama...do we look like fools?

No. This is planned between him and Trump.

Yep, Trump used the same mob tactics on NY State, so this interview will deflect nicely.

Barr is a Trump doormat in his action. May be it is hard for Trumpkins to understand that but the rest of the country is not buying his staged interview.
