Adopted dog—should we pay?

Anonymous
All of these people suggesting that OP take the dog back seem to be ignoring the fact that OP's kid is allergic to the dog!

We didn’t, but we sent a copy after the first email. They claim their city won’t accept that, the shots need updating in 2020.

Not sure I believe this. I don't think theyre lying necessarily, I think they have been given bad info.

This doesn’t bode well for the dog. I hope it remains in good health.

Their dog, their problem.

Their dog, their city, their problem.

Didn't they ask for vet records?

Can’t the rescue provide some guidance or mediate this?

If this is their attitude, they will not be paying any vet bills in the future- this does not bode well. I'd offer to take the dog back and give them the $100 to get rid of them and again look into rehoming, this time providing the records and some form of contract.

I get that your son has allergies, but I am feeling for your dog with these weirdos.
